These birds were such fun to make. I found the pattern over here [link] and thought they would look great on a Christmas tree as well. I tweaked the pattern a bit. They are around 20 cm from their beak to the end of the tail.

I'm donating four red ones to Phoenix Children's Hospital.

Thank you very much. I should make more of these, they look lovely hanging from anywhere. And even cats seem to recognize them for their bird silhuette

(at least that's how I'm explaining the constant "kidnapping" of the bird if left unattended).

They were all wonderful!

I have put the white one with all of my antique favorites from Mom's Christmas collections. I have some delicate white crotchet ones that have been hardened with starch, all safe and still white, over 30+years old, Mom loved an all white Christmas tree, your white dove fits beautifully with them all!
