I made it in Papier mache technique. I used cardboard box that used to house juice in the store, old newspapers, those commercial leaflets/papers you get in your real life mailbox almost every day, some leftover rope, bits of paper handkerchief, dilluted white wood glue, acrylics, watercolors and some matte varnish in the end.
Dimension: 31x15x15 cm.
I took some progress shots (forgot those while coloring) to make a tutorial if anybody would be interested. Let me know if you'd like to see it.
And wish me luck
edit: whoa! my shelf came to second place
if you'd like to make one, follow my "instructions"
I know yes Layers have to be really well bonded together for the sandpaper smoothing to work, because otherwise you get to air bubbles and that doesn't look pretty at all Have fun with this and show us what you'll make!
Hun, just thought I'd let you know, the pharse "shabby chic" is a registered trademark, and can only be used in reference to the brand, might want to change the title as you can get taken to court if it is noticed xx
